About Us

Meet me, Emily Nye. I am your average 30-something corporate workhorse turned entrepreneur.

During the pandemic, watercolor became my refuge. Why watercolor? It was my arch nemesis during high school art classes. It's an unforgiving medium and more delicate than acrylics.

I started EAN Emporium in 2020 but have started to take it more seriously in 2025. In the 5 years, I have grown and learned so much. I have been able to tame the water and paint. I am now able to create the beautiful pieces you see here.

But, how did the fore-edge paintings come about? Well, like others, I was doom-scrolling on Tiktok during the pandemic and came across someone that had painted the edges of books. So in 2021, I had painted my first fore-edge book which of course was Lord of the Rings. 2025 I picked the habit back up and decided to pursue it as a career!

On an average day, I can usually found hanging out with my husband and our cat Zuko! Starting in 2025, I have become a plant momma! Growing things with your own 2 hands is definitely rewarding. I love having access to fresh herbs and vegetables that I personally have nurtured and grown.
