Descend into the world of America Singer's life with this uniquely painted book.
America Singer is a young woman that is about to partake in a ritual that will change her life. She was chosen as one of 35 other young women for the hand of Prince Maxon. Open the pages of this YA dystopian romance novel as it touches on the topics of social class, love, duty, and finding one's place in a world with rigid social structures.
What makes this copy unique? On the fore-edges of the book, a violin was painted along with a delicate golden boarder around the violin. Each book is placed between two wooden boards and clamped down to be immovable. The pressure from the clamps makes the edges of the book become a workable surface and does not allow the watercolor paint to seep onto the pages of the book.
All the edges are painted with professional grade, non-fugitive watercolors. They are then double sealed with a matte finish spray and wax varnish to have the paintings last.
While these books are indeed double sealed, they are best used as decorative. They can be handled (which is why they are double sealed) however the painting might deteriorate from excessive handling.
